About the Anniversary Gala

Since its inception in 2011, the Anniversary Gala has raised more than $600,000 to benefit the Meadowlands Area YMCA, supporting our mission to strengthen the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Each year the Meadowlands Area YMCA awards hundreds of scholarships to children, teens, families and seniors so everyone can have the opportunity to enjoy the Y. The Y programs are designed, and proven, to make a positive difference in each of their lives.

As a highlight of our evening, we honor four individuals and/or organizations who have made a significant impact on our community. The members of this year’s class exemplify the core values of the YMCA – respect, honesty, responsibility and caring and they each have proven that Dreams Do Come True. We are honored to have the privilege of recognizing our distinguished honorees.

We couldn't be happier to have Rutherford native and CBS 2 News Anchor, Chris Wragge, as our Master of Ceremonies this year. We are incredibly thankful to have him leading our evening.

THANK YOU!!!

A HUGE thank you to everyone that made our 97th Anniversary Gala possible last night - our distinguished honorees, Chris Wragge our MC, gala co-chairs, dedicated Board of Directors, committed corporate sponsors, generous donors, the crew at Il Villaggio, and our incredible staff, which is the truly best anyone could ask for.

Our foundation is only as strong as our friends and we're so fortunate to have a rock-solid base. We're able to do all that we do because of ALL of you.

Pictures from the event will be posted soon!
