7th grade is a pivotal and transitional time for many teens. It is a time when sports become more competitive and provide less opportunity for the average child to be involved in physical activity. It is also the time when teens are given more freedom to choose how they spend their free time. Habits that begin in the 7th grade are likely to continue into adulthood.
The Meadowlands YMCA wants to support and encourage kids to make good decisions and form healthy habits that lead to a healthy lifestyle.
We are providing a FREE membership to every 7th grader residing in East Rutherford, Rutherford, Wood-Ridge, Carlstadt, Wallington, North Arlington, Lyndhurst, Moonachie, and Secaucus. Students thrive in a safe environment enabling them to grow in spirit, mind and body. Fun youth programs promote wellness and emphasize the value of a healthy lifestyle.
These members receive full access to the Meadowlands YMCA facility, including the new aquatics center, wellness center (pending youth wellness orientation), the Gatorade Gymnasium, and all of the other amazing amenities and services offered here.
7th Grade members have access to the Teen Center - a fun environment to enjoy activities like ping pong, fusbol, TV, board games, former lockers of NBA Nets players, and much more.
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 6pm-8pm
Saturday and Sunday: 2pm-5pm
