Family Time

MOVERS & SHAKERS         AGES 1–2½

Here is an opportunity for children to express themselves through music and the movement of dance. They will learn how to socialize with their friends and practice following basic directions. We’ll practice walking, jumping, wiggling, and dancing as we enjoy songs, rhymes, finger plays, and toys with a little time left over for free-play.

LITTLE PICASSOS               AGES 2–4

Discover art hands on through coloring, gluing, painting, stories and more. We’ll learn that books, games, songs, and holidays are all great inspirations for artwork. Each week we will use some traditional art supplies as well as some surprises! Some weeks you will take home a “refrigerator masterpiece”, other weeks it’s all about exploring the medium.

Music is one of the things common to all cultures around the world!  We’ll explore music by playing instruments, and listening to the sounds that different instruments make.  We’ll practice rhythms using our bodies as instruments.  We will sing lots of songs, and interpret music through dance or art.  Come ready to sing, dance and have lots of fun!

Yummy Tummies            AGES 3-5

We will read recipes, measure ingredients and follow instructions to create snacks and treats!  We will eat our snacks and take home our recipes to share with our families!

Instructor to parent and child pairs ratio is 1:10.

SHRIMP          Ages 6-18 months

KIPPER          Ages 18 months-3 years

These classes are for children and their parent(s) with the primary objective of both becoming comfortable in the water. The child will become aware of the difference between moving through water and on dry land, while the parent will become aware of how to teach their child how to be safe in and around the water. Classes are designed to allow the child to have fun in the water, while the parent guides them to learn aquatic skills. They will be exposed to basic arm and leg movements and breath control through games and songs. All activities are based on the development of the child. Unless potty trained all children must wear swim diapers with elastic legs while in the water.
