Meadowlands Area YMCA

Musical Theatre Camp

Ages: 5-7 (Group 1), 8-10 (Group 2), 12-14 (Group 3)

Miss Mano (Melissa Manolakakis) is back again and directing for the 10th Annual YMCA Musical Theater Camp! Whether your child dreams of being a Broadway Star, or simply loves to entertain, this is the camp for them!

From singing to acting to dancing, we’ll help bring out the best in your little star! No previous experience is needed, just a willingness to perform and have FUN! Every camper receives a solo and speaking roll if desired, but it’s not required. We believe that all roles in our musical are equally as important and valuable and want all campers feel comfortable in this educational environment. All desired singing and speaking rolls will be divided evenly and customized within the first three days of camp.

Our Musical Theater Camp will culminate in a 60-minute performance for family and friends on the final days of each camp session. This is an excellent opportunity to learn different aspects of musical theatre. Skills learned include: stage directions, script reading, vocal technique, ensemble numbers, skits, acting techniques, theatre dance, improv games, audition tips, featured solos and public speaking.

There are two sessions of Musical Theater Camp. Campers can participate in one or both sessions.
