Your Bergen County neighbors need your help! In a single week up to 20,000 individuals in Bergen County will rely on donated meals. There are over 21,000 hungry children in our community, in fact 1 in every 11 children in Bergen County are fighting food insecurity every day. Hunger lives here in Bergen County, the Meadowlands YMCA is fighting this crisis every week and we need your help. Since March the Meadowlands YMCA has distributed nearly 630,000 meals to over 40,000 families during weekly distributions throughout the COVID pandemic.
It takes just $2 to help us give a meal to a hungry child. We are asking our YMCA members and community members to help us feed your neighbors and fight the food insecurity crisis in Bergen County. It is our goal to raise enough to serve another 500,000 meals.
