The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Program at Robert L. Craig School seeks talented, dynamic and diverse candidates for part-time certified STEAM Teachers. Under the direction of the Educational Coordinator and the Project Director, a STEAM Teacher 4-8 shall support 4-8 Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics curriculum and instruction. 





Cognitive Abilities
Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with Moonachie School District staff and parents, Meadowlands Area YMCA Staff, business associates, and general community.
Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately.
Ability to recognize areas of concern relating to elementary education issues and propose or recommend appropriate solutions to problems.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to exercise initiative and make independent decisions to reschedule work to meet deadlines or to effectively handle emergency work.
Professional Qualifications
At least five years’ experience as a professional employee in an elementary setting.
Experience with STEAM Education.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of effective elementary education principles, practices, and trends.
Ability to perform the above responsibilities at a high level.
Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education.

Physical Demands
Occasional travel to School District offices, buildings, classroom and grounds, as well as to various community centers and Meadowlands YMCA Offices.
Occasional traversing throughout various buildings.
Often sitting for extended periods.
Standing for periods of time.

Ability to communicate effectively in all aspects of the job.
