Mental Health

We recognize that during these unprecedented times with the COVID-19 virus, remote learning/work, and isolation that stress levels are high and conversations about mental health are crucial - but lacking.  That is why the Meadowlands YMCA is starting a new initiative we are calling State of Mind. This program will offer talks, seminars, information sessions and resources to help normalize the conversation around mental health.

Date: September 30th

Time: 7:30pm

Cost: Free

In recognition of September as Suicide Prevention Month our first presentation will be Talk Saves Lives in partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This presentation will cover what we know about this leading cause of death, the most up-to-date prevention, and what we can all do to fight suicide. Participants will learn the common risk factors, how to spot warning signs in others, and how to keep ourselves, our loved ones, and our community safe.
