Volunteer at the Y!

YOU MAKE MORE POSSIBLE

Give, Grow, and Inspire at the Meadowlands YMCA

Volunteering is a great way to obtain your high school Community Service credit hours, try something new, make new friends or transition to a new stage of life. Across the United States, more than 500,000 business leaders, community advocates, parents, teens and individuals who want to give back and support their neighbors volunteer at the Y. That’s because in 10,000 neighborhoods nationwide, we have the presence and partnerships to not just promise, but deliver positive personal and social change.

There are many benefits of volunteering including learning new skills, sharing your knowledge and expertise, meeting new people, finding a place to belong and making new friends all while helping your community improve its overall health. All volunteers receive training to ensure safe and efficient operations in our child care, camp, youth, special events and health and fitness programs. We have a variety of rewarding volunteer opportunities available, such as:

  • Summer Camp Counselor
  • Golf Outing Attendant
  • Gala Committee Member
  • Teen Center Supervisor
  • Trick Tray Sales Coordinator
  • Mara Center Preschool Aid
  • Sports League Coaches
  • And many others
