Bergen County Technical High Schools visit Moonachie school

The Meadowlands Area YMCA’s 21st CCLC After School Program was fortunate to have representatives from Bergen County Technical High Schools visit our school on Wednesday, September 28th at our PTO meeting. Laura Muller from the Teterboro Campus and Tonilynne Demarco from the Paramus Campus explained the admission process for all four campuses which are Bergen County Academies High School in Hackensack, Bergen County Technical High School in Teterboro, Applied Technology High School at Bergen Community College in Paramus and Bergen Technical High School in Paramus. BCTHS in Paramus a (IEP required) which could be a shared time or full time schedule. All four campuses provide a unique educational experience through a blend of academic high school curriculum, college classes and hands on technical school. Each school provides specialized programs in the areas of mathematics and science, engineering and design, medical science, business and fiancé, culinary arts and hospitality administration, visual and preforming arts, technology and computer science.   All open houses will be held in October. All students must register online at http://bctsopenhouse.bergen.org . Application process for all four schools are on their websites. Application deadline is December 15th however Paramus campus is a rolling admission. Admission Test Dates for BCA and BCTS are held on January 7 & 8th. BCA requires an interview which is part of their application process. For further information attend each schools open house.
